Hi, I’m Maria — I’m so glad you’re here.

Whether this is your first time considering therapy or you’ve been in therapy before, welcome.

Many of my clients are new to therapy and come to me looking for a new outlook on life, practical tools to understand the past and a clear path forward. You might be feeling stuck in familiar patterns, overwhelmed by life’s demands, feel anxious or depressed and are managing communication issues in your relationship. You may be navigating a major life transition that feels disorienting. Whatever brings you here, know that you're not alone, and you've come to the right place.

I offer a kind, personable and collaborative space to begin to process your emotions, experiences, and hopes for the future. You’ll gain a therapeutic “toolbox” filled with actionable strategies to help you feel empowered, grounded, and capable of creating meaningful change in your daily life.

I’m a trauma-informed and solution-focused licensed therapist, and I specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

CBT is an evidence-based approach that helps you meaningfully process the past, recognize what’s keeping you stuck in the present, and shift unhelpful thought patterns with healthier ones. CBT is a gentle and solution-focused approach, it offers you a new perspective, and actionable tools to better understand and manage your emotions, improve your relationships, and respond more effectively to life’s challenges.

As a professional, it is fulfilling for me to witness clients shift their outlook, change long-held beliefs and behaviors, and achieve goals that once felt out of reach. My style is warm, personable, light-hearted, solution-focused, and designed to help you thrive.

In addition to CBT, I’m passionate about women’s mental health—particularly how stress, trauma, and major life events influence the way we think, feel about ourselves, and behave. The reproductive journey can be a life-altering experience—one that often goes unspoken because of shame, stigma, or other deeply personal factors. I hold specialties in postpartum mental health and fertility counseling for individuals and couples. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) offers practical, evidence-based tools to support new parents, those facing postpartum challenges, and parents coping with infertility or pregnancy loss. By helping you manage overwhelming emotions, meaningfully process the past, talk about the present, reframe negative thoughts, and build healthy coping strategies, CBT empowers you to find hope, healing, and balance during some of life’s most difficult transitions.CBT has been highly researched and is an effective treatment method for these areas because it’s structured, goal-oriented, and easy to integrate into daily life, making it especially effective for new parents and those navigating fertility challenges.

Whether you're feeling lost, burned out, or just need someone to talk to, I offer a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where you can share freely and feel supported. Together, we’ll explore the patterns holding you back, manage overwhelming emotions, and build tools for emotional resilience and personal growth.

Wherever you are on your journey, I’ll meet you there.

Using a blend of CBT tools and a solution-focused approach, I help you:

  • Understand your thought patterns and how they affect your emotions and behaviors.

  • Gently challenge and reframe limiting or unhelpful beliefs.

  • Build actionable strategies that create lasting, positive changes in your life and relationships.

  • Learn how to reduce anxiety and manage stress by developing new ways of thinking and responding.

My role is to guide by creating a safe and structured space where growth can happen. You’ll gain skills that help you feel more in control of your experiences and better equipped to navigate life’s challenges and make decisions.

I offer in-person therapy in San Francisco, online therapy (tele-therapy) for those who prefer the convenience of virtual sessions, and hybrid therapy, a flexible approach combining both in-person and online sessions based on your needs.

I look forward to meeting you, answering your questions and helping you find piece of mind and emotional relief as you accomplish your goals.
